| Huelin-Renouf Shipping's containers offer many significant advantages to freight forwarders moving goods to the Channel Islands, providing not only greater security but also ease of handling since the Group's 20 ft units can be delivered door-to-door from source in the United Kingdom to any customer in Jersey or Guernsey. The Channel Islands have restrictions on axle width - 7 ft 6 in both Islands – with which our vehicles and containers on twist-lock trailers comply. This means that containers can be sealed at source and their contents do not need to be handled again until the customer in the Channel Islands removes the seals. Although 8 ft-wide trailers are permitted on certain roads, these are strictly limited and unloading or reloading overwidth units can add another 24 hours to delivery times. |
