| In 1935, Channel Islands Services Limited was formed primarily to handle the sea freight of J.W. Huelin and Co. Ltd, then a major produce and builders’ merchants in Jersey and Guernsey. In 1972 the trading name of Huelin-Renouf Shipping Services was adopted following the amalgamation of Channel Islands Shipping Services Limited and J.G. Renouf and Co. Ltd, a long-established firm of shipping agents, ship brokers and road hauliers. The company so formed provided effective competition to the existing services. The same holds even truer today with the Huelin-Renouf Group now comprising separate companies in Jersey and Guernsey and also operating a busy Airfreight Division with offices located at Jersey and Guernsey Airports. |
